This painting was commissioned by the daughter of the folks in it for her dad's 70th birthday.  It's based on a lovely photo from the 70s - check out those groovy sneakers!  So sweet a photo... parents-to-be, hand in hand.  I so enjoyed putting myself in the scene and imagining their story while I was painting.  A delightful commission to work on.

Here is a little something I made to celebrate the pending arrival of a new baby.  It's a due-date guessing game that also became a record of who was there (the guests filled in the flags with their names), and art to frame for the wall of the baby's room.

Commemorate an Event!
