The Back Story:
This little family of Enor-mouse Eared Field Mice* has gone out on a warm summer's evening to watch the firefly display. It is not so noisy as the fireworks on Independence Day, and there is not so much smoke, or explody things, so it is such a tranquil way to spend a little happy time together. They hope you also are having a happy summer's evening, or maybe memoreis of one if now it is winter, and invite you to join them one day for the fireflying, for they do so enjoy it and think you would too. *Ever So Important Note: Not a real species, in case you cannot find them on the interweb... And even if you can. But if they were a real species, they would be native to the American Northeast, in places where fireflies also roam, and including Central Park in Nueva York. They have unusually large ears in order to better hear the crickets and the cicadas - summer music they look forward to every year. |
